Rapid Standards to Meet Your Company’s Needs

Standards simplify infrastructure: common means of tag/reader communication, interoperability, and data exchange result in quicker implementations with reduced variables. For technology providers, standards development provides competitive advantage by building knowledge about cross- and intra-industry drivers and developing products and services accordingly.

Work with your industry peers to develop global, user-driven standards to meet industry-specific needs for EPC/RFID hardware, software, and information exchange. EPCglobal Action Groups bring together international users from a variety of industries to define business and technical requirements for standards development and to drive the adoption of the EPCglobal Network.

Business Action Groups (BAGs) are organized into Working Groups focused on strategy, technical, or implementation concerns, with the goal of establishing business requirements and use cases across multiple industries. The Hardware Action Group (HAG) develops specifications for key hardware components of the EPCglobal Network, including readers and tags. The Software Action Group (SAG) defines the software functionality and interface standards for the EPCglobal Network and how these elements interact with distributed enterprise systems.

Spearhead the collaborative development and rapid deployment of standards for RFID hardware, software, and information exchange. Join the industry-based, community-driven approach to develop standards and implementation strategies
